Welcome Back!

As we begin the new school year the Guidance office wishes to welcome all students but especially our newest Mustangs – the class of 2016!   We look forwarded to working with all students and their families throughout their high school career.

A few reminders from the Guidance office:

1) Generally, a student wishing to speak with their counselor should make an appointment.

– Stop into Guidance before school, after school, between classes, or during lunch

– Speak with one of our two secretaries and let them know you’d like an appointment with your counselor

– The secretary will give you a pass for the specific date and time of your appointment.

– The day of your appointment, show your teacher the pass at the appropriate time and come to Guidance.

Please Note: Academics take precedence over Guidance appointments.  You should not miss a test, quiz, review day, presentation etc. for a Guidance appointment.   If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, simply stop by Guidance to reschedule.

2) Students needing immediate assistance from the counselor should alert their classroom teacher and then report to the Guidance Office.

3) Counselor are available through phone or email throughout the day.  Students and parents should feel free to contact us in this way if it is convenient.

4) Please have patience with the counselor if you do not receive an immediate response.  Emergencies of one kind or another happen almost daily in the Guidance office.   We respect that each individual concern is worthy of our time and never intend to keep people waiting longer than is absolutely necessary.  However, we must handle the most pressing concerns first.
