Study This Summer at Susquehanna University

ARE YOU SOMEONE WHO…..

IS INTERESTED IN BUSINESS?
Students live the life of an entrepreneur while attending the Leadership Institute for Entrepreneurship (LIFE) June 25–July 1. They work in teams with other students, running a virtual business, coming up with a new product or service, and producing an infomercial. The week includes guest speakers and study trips to local, family-owned, entrepreneurial startup businesses.

WANTS TO DO HANDS-ON ECOLOGY RESEARCH
IN LOCAL STREAMS?

At our Stream Ecology Institute July 9–15, students study the living and non-living components of stream systems and how those elements interact with each other. They’ll collect crayfish, insects, fish and water to test streams from small headwaters to the Susquehanna River, using the same equipment and methods of ecology professionals.

IS INTERESTED IN
CREATIVE WRITING?

At the 30th annual Writers Workshop July 9–15, students immerse themselves in one-on-one conferences with our creative writing faculty, as well as intensive writing workshops, instructions on finding a college writing program and working in the publishing industry. A nightly series of readings from faculty and visiting writers prepares them for their own public reading at the week’s end.

IS A WOODWIND, BRASS
OR PERCUSSION PLAYER?
Band students will further develop their musicianship and technique at the High School Wind Ensemble Institute June 18–24. They’ll perform challenging chamber and wind ensemble repertoire, and study privately with a member of our distinguished faculty. They’ll also attend classes in music theory and seminars in conducting, composition and music technology.

LOVES TO SING IN A CHOIR?
Singers can participate in our exciting summer Choral Institute June 25–July 1. They’ll focus on improving their musicianship, vocal technique and choral performance skills under the direction of talented Susquehanna University conductors and voice faculty.
