Penn State Forensic Science Symposium
This is an annual event held at the Penn State University-University Park campus to inform students who are interested in forensic science about techniques and professions in the field of forensic science. The symposium targets high school students interested in forensic science, current Penn State undergraduates who may be considering the forensic science major, prospective graduate students and their families and interested members of the general public. It is organized and hosted by student members of the Penn State Forensic Science Club. This is a great opportunity for students and teachers who are interested in learning more about forensic science and what is offered by the Penn State Forensic Science Program.
The symposium is a two-day event on April 6th that will be a full day of presentations from professionals in the field of forensic science. Attendees will also be given information about Penn State’s Forensic Science program and will have the opportunity to tour the lab facilities. April 7th is a half-day session of “hands on” experience with the tools and techniques used by criminalists in the field.
We would be pleased if you could pass this information along to anyone who might be interested in attending our symposium. See the attached registration form and details regarding registration below:
Registration costs (includes admission to both sessions, continental breakfast and lunch):
High School Student – $15
Non-Student (parent/guardian) – $15
*Any interested attendee under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
