We received notice from Kutztown University that they are inviting prospective high school students interested in majors in biology, chemistry, geology, environmental and marine science and physics to shadow a current KU student for the day. This Science Shadow Day will take place next Wednesday, November 14th. The registration deadline is Nov. 9 – tomorrow!
Here is a rough schedule for the day:
- 8 a.m. – Arrival/drop off at Boehm Science Center main lobby & meet host students
- 8:30 a.m. – Admissions presentation
- 9:00-11:00a.m. – Classroom visits, campus tour with host student
- 11:30a.m.-2p.m. – Lunch, classroom visits continued
- 2:00-2:40p.m. – Faculty roundtable to answer questions
- 2:40-3:00p.m. – Visit lab class
- 3 – 3:15 p.m. – Departure/pick up
Students are required to provide their own transportation to and from Kutztown’s campus. Lunch is provided for students.
